I am often asked when we will have “self-driving cars.” I say that we do! A Mercedes-Benz equipped with the Driver Assistance Package has just about all it needs to drive by itself. Yes, it still requires a little input from you but it can handle the hard stuff!

When I started with Mercedes-Benz in 2003 Distronic was a $3000 option that only worked at highway speed and could only keep you a set distance behind the car in front of you. Today the Driver Assistance Package costs just about the same and has a suite of features that sound like the future! Radar Adaptive cruise control that works to a complete stop, Steering Assist, Autonomous braking with Collision Prevention Assist and Cross Traffic Detection, and on and on!
