Mercedes has officially released photos and details on the restyled 2009 SL-Class. The most noticeable styling change is obviously the new headlights. These bring the SL’s facial features in line with the trend that first started on the CLS. Beyond the headlights many of the SL’s body surfaces have been given more aggressive styling. Interior upgrades include the addition of the AIRSCARF headrest heating system that has been available on the SLK for a couple years. It appears that the available engines will remain the same with a few tweaks to improve fuel economy.
The basic chassis and engine are expected to remain the same until a complete redesign for 2013 but all of the body panels and much of the technology will be upgraded for this 2009 model.
